The Zone

Middle School After School program

The Zone is THE place to be for middle schoolers after school. Here, you can meet new friends, hang out with old ones, and do fun activities while still having your independence. At the Zone, we do sports with Coach Mo, cooking, volunteer work, games, and more, all in a positive environment with experienced, knowledgeable staff to make sure everyone has a good time. Teens in the Zone's after school program can use the café, do their homework in a quiet space (or outside if it's nice!) with lots of resources, or even work out in the gym with their counselor. Parents, you can put your minds at ease knowing your middle-schooler is in a safe, fun program after school!

Zone Fees
Here at the Zone, we accommodate the busy schedules of ALL families. At the Zone, children can attend from one to five days per week. For information on fees, please contact Sarah Evans, Director of KidsPlace and Youth Programs at 203-487-0973 or sevans@stamfordjcc.org.

Bone Drop-Ins
The Zone is able to accommodate JCC members who are not registered in the program on a drop-in basis, as long as space is available on the vans. Any member in need of last-minute or emergency childcare is invited to use this option. This service is available for non-Zone registered children for a fee of $20 per day for The Zone, plus $10 for transportation. Non-Zone registered children can utilize The Zone no more than once a month. Zone-registered children can use the drop-in service for a fee of $15 per day for The Zone, plus a $10 fee for transportation. Transportation
The JCC offers transportation to the Centernfrom most Stamford schools. The JCC has a fleet of four vans, all equipped with seat belts, that provide optional transportation to the JCC from the child's school. Along with the driver, each van has a counselor on board.

Hebrew School Transportation
The JCC can provide members with transportation to Hebrew schools. Children will be picked up at school (within Stamford), and dropped off at their synagogues. Tuesdays & Thursdays, Temple Beth El; Mondays & Wednesdays, Temple Sinai and Agudath Sholom. KidsPlace and Zone participants, $12 per ride; all other JCC members, $15 per ride.
