B’nai Brith Youth Organization (BBYO)
Grades 8 – 12
The Stamford JCC partners with BBYO, the world’s leading pluralistic Jewish teen movement, to offer Jewish teens the opportunity to connect with one another, volunteer in the community, celebrate their Jewish heritage, prepare for leadership roles, and travel the world together, all within a Jewish context. Teens are given realresponsibilities and develop leadership skills that relate to their everyday lives.
By practicing public speaking, program planning and community organizing, BBYO teens build the skills that not only make them more confident and capable of navigating the challenging teen years but also prepare them to make positive contributions to the world around them as adults. BBYO meets at the Stamford JCC every other Monday. Membership dues are $149 for all 4 years of high school and 8th grade. For more information, please visit www.bbyo.org or contact Josh Cohen, Area Field Director BBYO Northeast at JCohen@bbyo.org or Tyler Pepe, Associate Regional Director, at Tpepe@bbyo.org.

Junior Boxing Club

Ages 8 & up

Evander Holyfield began his boxing training when he was 8 years old and weighed 65 pounds. He went on to become an Olympic medalist and four-time world heavyweight champion. Your child may not become a heavyweight champion, but he or she can reap several benefits from the sport of boxing. Boxing will teach your child how to throw punches, including the jab, cross, hook and uppercut. Correct body mechanics needed to throw these techniques with the most speed and power will also be taught. Boxing offers children several psychological benefits, including improved confidence, self-discipline and determination. Specific information regarding dates, days and times will be communicated soon. For more information, contact Lori Price at 203.487.0967.
