Speak up for Israel for Teens
Grades 11 & 12
Not sure what to say if someone bashes Israel? Learn the facts, ask the hard questions and know your answers. Israel gets a bad rap especially on college campuses. Join an elite group of high school juniors and seniors and learn from experts in the field - AIPAC, ADL, Jerusalem U and Stand With Us, how to respond and take action. Students enrolled will attend the AIPAC conference in March. Spaces are limited. For more information or to register, contact Or Berger, the JCC Israeli Shaliach at 203-487-0961 or A partnership program between the JCC and UJF.
Sunday, 5 – 7 p.m. (9 sessions plus AIPAC conference)
Jan. 24; Feb. 21; March 19-22 (AIPAC); Apr. 17

B’nai Brith Youth Organization (BBYO)
Grades 8 – 12
The Stamford JCC partners with BBYO, the world’s leading pluralistic Jewish teen movement, to offer Jewish teens the opportunity to connect with one another, volunteer in the community, celebrate their Jewish heritage, prepare for leadership roles, and travel the world together, all within a Jewish context. Teens are given realresponsibilities and develop leadership skills that relate to their everyday lives.
By practicing public speaking, program planning and community organizing, BBYO teens build the skills that not only make them more confident and capable of navigating the challenging teen years but also prepare them to make positive contributions to the world around them as adults. BBYO meets at the Stamford JCC every other Monday. Membership dues are $149 for all 4 years of high school and 8th grade. For more information, please visit or contact Josh Cohen, Area Field Director BBYO Northeast at or Tyler Pepe, Associate Regional Director, at
