At KinderPlace children are empowered to be part of a caring classroom community. Within the classroom they work to keep in mind the goals of being kind, respectful and safe in their play. Fully licensed by the State of Connecticut, KinderPlace recognizes the distinctive needs of working parents and their children. Our program meets these needs by providing a warm and supportive environment and the very best of individualized care.
Breakfast, as well as morning and afternoon snacks, are provided. Our fully equipped child care center has areas where children can enjoy creative art, block building, science exploration, dramatic play, puzzles and manipulative play. A quiet corner with comfortable seating houses our extensive library. Here children can relax with a book or play a game.
A Judaic curriculum is integral to our program, and the children experience Jewish traditions and holidays through song, stories and celebrations.
Beyond the well-equipped, warm classroom space, children benefit from the JCC's full-service facility, including spacious fields, swimming pool, gymnasium, KidZone, and much more! Children decorate the halls with their artwork, entertain senior adults, and beautify the grounds with ever-expanding flower gardens.
At KinderPlace children also have opportunities to reach out to the larger community. By bringing in packages of food for an ongoing food drive on Fridays, helping to prepare meals for a local shelter, and/or contributing their outgrown clothing for a seasonal clothing drive, our KinderPlace children experience the joy that comes from sharing. In consideration of children with nut allergies, please do not pack for your child a meal or snack that contains nuts.
