B’nai Brith Youth Organization (BBYO)
Grades 8 – 12
The Stamford JCC partners with BBYO, the world’s leading pluralistic Jewish teen movement, to offer Jewish teens the opportunity to connect with one another, volunteer in the community, celebrate their Jewish heritage, prepare for leadership roles, and travel the world together, all within a Jewish context. Teens are given real responsibilities and develop leadership skills that relate to their everyday lives. By practicing public speaking, program planning and community organizing, BBYO teens build the skills that not only make them more confident and capable of navigating the challenging teen years but also prepare them to make positive contributions to the world around them as adults. BBYO meets at the Stamford JCC every other Monday. Membership dues are $149 for all 4 years of high school and 8th grade. For more information, please visit www.bbyo.org or contact Josh Cohen, Area Field Director BBYO Northeast at JCohen@bbyo.org or Tyler Pepe, Associate Regional Director, at Tpepe@bbyo.org.

You keep your skin clean. You condition your hair. You’re eating right. You’re doing all you can to look and feel great. But are you missing out on an important part of a healthier lifestyle? No matter what your age or shape, you should exercise daily. And there are more benefits of exercise – increased relaxation, better sleep and mood, strong immune function, and more. This class will make you stronger, faster, more powerful and make you feel better by performing high-energy functional movements that are natural and safe. ArtWorks is art therapy in a small group setting. Its purpose is to help children express themselves through art projects. Art therapy is a process used to improve communication skills (expressive and  receptive), social interaction, enhance motor function, stimulate emotional development, and foster self-expression. Art sessions are offered to those who like to express themselves through a variety of art activities.
