Introducing the NEW Swim School at the J!
Grades K – 5
Where young children get a head start on swimming, gain comfort in the water and begin working on basic swimming skills while interacting with an instructor and other children in a fun and safe environment. The JCC is pleased to announce the launch this fall of our all-new swim school. Through our comprehensive curriculum children will learn skills, build knowledge, gain confidence and feel safe in and around water. Using a step-by-step approach to learning, students will build proficiency as they successfully progress through levels that teach the four essential strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. Most importantly, the new curriculum is built in such a way that children will be excited to advance through each level. Every swimmer will receive a book in which he or she will be able to see specific skills needed to progress to the next level. Swimmers will also be awarded a new color of swim cap as they progress through each level. Each semester ends with a free swim competition. See class listings following all class descriptions.
