Michael Gold, President of the JCC Board of Directors
A longtime supporter of the JCC across its many programs and services, Michael has served as a member of the JCC’s board of directors since 2014. He has served on the executive committee and strategic planning committee, and has been a member of the board’s nominating committee, among others.
Michael has been extremely active with the JCC Maccabi experience, initially serving as a coach for several years and as the chair of transportation for the 2006 Stamford JCC Maccabi Games. Michael subsequently served as co-chair of the 2016 JCC Maccabi Games and ArtsFest and was a member of the executive committee for the JCC Centennial. Within these roles, he conceived of the Refounders Circle and co-led the Centennial Torch Relay in celebration of the JCC’s 100th birthday.
Beyond support of the JCC, he has also served as a master of ceremonies for the Stamford Jewish Family Services annual gala and was the former Men’s Club representative to the Board of Directors of Temple Beth El. Michael was also a member of the Behrend Leadership Institute Scholars.
Michael and his wife, Robin Frederick (a past JCC President), have been Stamford residents since 1991. Their daughters, Daniele and Alyssa, grew up in Stamford and spent a great deal of their childhood at the JCC.
