Through capital projects, the Stamford JCC strives to make enhancements and upgrades to better serve the existing community today and provide a high-quality, welcoming and inclusive environment for the community in the future. With an aim to transform our center; modernizing the facilities, updating and repairing 40 year old infrastructure and committing to space maximization so that we can better serve our community.
PROJECTS ON DECK
Locker Room Renovation - PHASE I
All JCC locker rooms will be closed Thursday, October 10 and Friday, October 11 due to construction. The demolition of the second floor locker rooms will require work to be done above the ceilings of the first floor locker rooms, necessitating their removal. Our construction management team, in consultation with the fire marshal, has determined that this temporary closure will allow for critical pre-renovation work to be done as quickly and efficiently as possible. Alternate pool and locker room usage will be available Thursday - Friday. Click HERE for details.
The first phase of the project will be the complete remodel and renovation of the upstairs locker rooms. The new space will serve and accommodate both the general and executive locker room (XLR) members. Once complete, the redesigned space will have new showers, sauna and steam rooms, restrooms, lockers, and will have separate XLR and general member changing and locker spaces.
