Through capital projects, the Stamford JCC strives to make enhancements and upgrades to better serve the existing community today and provide a high-quality, welcoming and inclusive environment for the community in the future. With an aim to transform our center; modernizing the facilities, updating and repairing 40 year old infrastructure and committing to space maximization so that we can better serve our community.
PROJECTS IN PROGRESS
Multipurpose Classroom Wing The scope of this project includes converting existing office and meeting space into a new multipurpose classroom wing in the front of the building, and redesign the front entrance to answer security and access control challenges. The project will take approximately 6-9 months.
The multipurpose classroom wing will allow for The JCC Sara Walker Nursery School to move to our Newfield Avenue Campus, as well as, house a new infant childcare room and will serve our KidsPlace, Inclusion, Day Camps@The J and membership communities throughout the year.
This is a project for the community; like the locker room project, the gymnasium and the pool renovations, these are only accomplished by continued philanthropic investments by our community members and generous supporters. Please contact Marshall Kurland, JCC CEO, at firstname.lastname@example.org to get involved in supporting The JCC’s continued transformation.
