JCares

JCares brings people together through volunteer opportunities, service projects, and community partnerships. Guided by the Jewish values of repairing the world, acts of kindness, and caring for one another, we make it easy for members of all ages to give back, connect, and make a meaningful difference.

With opportunities to support staff, programs, events, and the wider community, there’s a meaningful place for everyone to get involved.

Our Current Volunteer Opportunities

The JCC offers hands-on volunteer opportunities - from serving meals to older adults to tending our garden to sewing costumes for our performing arts students - all supporting the people and programs that make our community thrive.

KidsPlace Office Volunteers

Weekdays • Flexible hours

Have an hour or two to spare? Help KidsPlace with filing, sorting, scanning, checking lists, and organizing materials. Come once, occasionally, or create a flexible ongoing schedule that works for you.

Community Art Project

Sun., Oct. 11. • 9 - 11 a.m.

Help prepare materials for an upcoming community-wide visual arts installation. Volunteers will cut and prepare magnetic shapes that will become part of the finished exhibition.

Community Lunch Volunteers

Fri., Oct. 16 • 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Help us create a warm and welcoming experience at our monthly Community Lunch for seniors. Volunteers assist with greeting guests, seating, serving lunch, and making sure everyone feels at home.

Garden Cleanup and Winterizing

Sun., Nov. 15 • 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Join us for a special volunteer day as we prepare the garden for winter. We’ll clean up the beds, remove spent plants, and protect the space for the colder months ahead. Enjoy hot cider and popcorn while we work!
