Jewish Experiences

Whether you were born Jewish, just beginning to explore Jewish traditions, or somewhere in between, the Center for Jewish Life at The J is committed to creating engagement opportunities for anyone and everyone seeking them, as well as infusing The J’s existing programming with content, values, and wisdom from our time-honored tradition. We aim to meet those looking for Jewish connection exactly where they are, in ways that are particularly and personally meaningful for them. As we are constantly evolving to meet the needs of our families, please be in touch with Rabbi Josh Strom, Director of Jewish Experiences at rjstrom@stamfordjcc.org to share thoughts and ideas on how best to serve this mission over lunch or a cup of coffee!

J at The J

J at The J is an engaging and experiential after-school enrichment program designed for K-2nd graders. The program will focus on Jewish holidays, culture, history, cooking, Israel, Hebrew language, and celebrations. It will be offered on Friday afternoons and/or Wednesday afternoons at the JCC. The program will also include monthly Shabbat experiences for students and their families, alternating between Friday night dinners and Saturday night Havdalah celebrations.

Grades: K - 2 • Wednesdays & Fridays • 4:15 - 5:15 p.m.
