Stamford J Basketball

Grades 6 - 11
This high-intensity summer basketball clinic is designed for serious players who want to push their game to the next level. Focused on advanced skill development, the clinic will challenge athletes through game-speed drills, competitive live play, and detailed instruction in ball handling, shooting, footwork, decision-making, and finishing. Players will be pushed mentally and physically in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes effort, discipline, and attention to detail. Ideal for athletes looking to sharpen their skills, compete against strong players, and train beyond the basics. Come ready to work, compete, and improve.

Week 2 – Jun. 29 – Jul. 2 (No camp on Jul. 3)

Tryouts will be held at The Stamford JCC

Tryout Dates & Times:

Monday, August 10 and Wednesday, August 12
7 & 8 Grade Boys: 6 - 7 p.m.

Tuesday, August 11 and Thursday, August 13
3rd & 4th Grade Boys: 5 - 6 p.m.
5th & 6th Grade Boys: 6 - 7 p.m.  

Only one tryout is required, but is encouraged to attend both (if there are 2 scheduled for your age group).

Season Length: September to November

Tournaments: 5-6 weekend tournaments in and around Fairfield & Westchester Counties (min. 3 games per tournament)

Practice: Two 90-minute practices a week (Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday)

Fee: Member $875 / Community $1000
$100 off for returning players that do not need a new uniform.

Our engaged and energetic staff will make sure players are having fun while improving their skills with some friendly competition.

Season Length: July 6 – August 13
Grade 3 - 4 Division Games: Mon. & Wed.
Grade 5 - 6 Division Games: Mon. & Wed. 
Grade 7 - 8 Division Games: Tues. & Thurs.

Playoffs & Championships: August 10 – 13

Grade 2 - 8
The focus of our clinics is on player skills and I.Q. development. We achieve this through high level coaching, individual player attention, and repetition. Players will work on ball handling, shooting, footwork, offensive skills and decision making, and more. The Stamford J Basketball coaching staff includes local high school and AAU coaches and former college and professional players.

These clinics are designed for players who have Travel and AAU playing experience. Coaches will challenge players through a combination of high intensity drills and advanced skill work including ballhandling, footwork, shooting, offensive moves, and more.

Girls will work with our professional coaches on skills including ball handling, shooting, footwork, and more. Girls of all levels are welcomed.

Players will work on fundamentals including ball handling, passing, shooting, rebounding, defense, offense and more. Players of all levels are welcomed. Players will be grouped by age and ability.
